'Controversial', 'revolutionary', 'beautiful' and 'bold'. Whatever words you choose to describe M.I.A, none can ever succinctly describe her visual style, apart from 'out of this world'. In this video she channels some serious Bollywood visual motifs with a flowing silk garment in the wind.

I keep thinking of that scene with Hrithik Roshan in Dil Tu Hi Bataa Krrish 3, (I love Bollywood films you guys!). But instead of a crooning love song, she throws lines like  "I'm not Osama/ Monsanto farmer/ I don't drink no soda/ I believe in karma." as a row on dancers move with precision in a giant human installation to every syncopation. This woman is so badass!
